Lot Essay

A student of Théophile Eugène Victor Barrau, Loiseau-Rousseau was a regular exhibitor at the Paris Salon, where he was awarded a third place medal in 1892 and a second place medal in 1895. He was made a chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1901.
