Luigi Loir enjoys capturing rare moments of Parisian life in order to present an original image of this city so many times depicted. Here, on the outskirts of Paris, he chooses the behind-the-scenes of a fairground.

We like to thank Mr Noé Willer for having confirmed the authenticity of the present lot. It will be included in part II of the catalogue raisonné on the work of Luigi Loir, currently in preparation.

Luigi Loir aime saisir des moments inédits de la vie parisienne afin de rendre une image originale de cette ville tant de fois dépeinte. Ici, aux abords de Paris, il choisit les coulisses d'une fête foraine.
