Of broken outline, with a spindle gallery and fitted with two central drawers, fitted with adjustable shelves and enclosed by six glazed panel doors between fluted stiles on turned feet, stamped 'R.GARNETT & SONS', the locks stamped 'SAMUEL HALL BIRMM

An Arts and Crafts oak desk has been sold in these rooms bearing a label 'designed and made by G.R.Garnett & Sons,Warrington',a name which is associated with a successful furniture manufacturing business in the second half of the 19th century.It is probable that this lot has come from this same workshop.
