Lot Essay

An Arts and Crafts oak desk has been sold in these rooms bearing a label 'designed and made by G.R.Garnett & Sons,Warrington',a name which is associated with a successful furniture manufacturing business in the second half of the 19th century. It is probable that this lot has come from this same workshop.
