Of generous size, with a floral gros-point needlework back and seat with cushion, the down-swept arms headed with a cherub mask and terminating in a scroll terminal of a recubent lion, on pierced foliate and cherub uprights, with similar pierced front legs and stretcher, joined by turned stretchers and terminating in lion mask scroll feet, the sack cloth under the seat stenciled 'Maple Co. London'
