AN ANGLO-INDIAN ETCHED IVORY SEWING BOX**
VIZAGAPATAM, LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY, SUPPLIED BY FRANCES ELKINS
Rectangular sandlewood box with ivory veneer, the canted lid with radiating panels and similarly radiating square knob, the case with etched foliate bands on ivory ball feet, enclosing compartments with ivory lids etched with foliage, repairs and losses
8½ in. (22 cm.) high, 12½ in. (32 cm.) wide, 9 in. (23 cm.) deep
