Lot Essay

This service was given to the recipient in 1967 in conjunction with the investiture of Knighthood of the Order of Dannebrog. The Order of Dannebrog was instituted as an Order of Denmark in 1671 by Christian V, and has since served as a means of honoring service to the Danish state for civil or military service, or for a contribution to the arts, sciences, or business.
