On regroupe sous le nom de 'Maître des cortèges' un ensemble d'oeuvres proches des Cortèges du musée Picasso à Paris et du musée de Philadelphie. Cet artiste dont le nom reste à découvrir est actif dans l'entourage des frères Le Nain. Plusieurs versions des Dénicheurs d'oiseaux sont connues, dont une au musée de Reims et une autre au musée Boymans van Beuningen de Rotterdam, cf. P. Rosenberg, Tout l'oeuvre des Le Nain, Paris, 1993, pp. 101-102.
