The urn-shaped case flanked by two maidens below a pierced foliate cover, with floral swags and the head of Mercury surrounding the enamel dial, Roman hours and Arabic minutes, and inscribed Dupas à Paris, the movement with a countwheel strike on bell

Together with a pair of gilt-bronze urns mounted on verde antico marble bases, the friezes cast with processions of dancing maidens, both with acanthus scroll handles -- 17¾in. (45cm.) high (2)
