A similar campaign bed, stamped Robinson and Sons, Original Inventors and Makers, Ilkley, is illustrated in N.Brawer, British Campaign Furniture Elegance Under Canvas, 1740-1914, New York, 2001, p.198. Brawer notes similar beds being manufactured by Leveson & Son and the Army and Navy Co-Operative Society about 1875.
