VERY RARE COLLECTION OF FINE HAND-COLOURED PLATES OF FISHES preserved as loose sheets with original deckle edges. Named in Spanish, the fishes include 'Dorada' and 'Escorpion' or 'Llobina' represented eating a smaller fish. Up to 43 plates were originally published. Dimensions of the engraved area vary from ca.300 x 200mm to ca.365 x 200mm. Páez Ríos Repertorio 344-1: traces only 2 collections; not in Thieme-Becker, Bénézit or Nissen. (20)
