Level: bottom neck; capsule cut to reveal vintage stamped Château cork. new label appealed 1983
"In the early 1980s, an exciting Réserve du Château, its overripe gamey bouquet like an old cedar cigar box - or singed hair. 'over the hill', it cracked up but was fun while it lasted. Skipping over the ullaged and oxidisedan excellent magnum, recorked in 1991: still very sweet, rich, good flavour and length, delicious. Last tasted Sept 1996. At best *****" MB, Vintage Wine
