A Tibetan bronze figure of Amitayus, 16th/17th Century
seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, the serene figure holds his hands in dhyana mudra, a begging bowl in the centre of his palms, his elongated ears, soft curled hair and usnisha symbols of his Buddha status with a turquoise inlaid urna - 8½in. (21.6cm) high.
