A large blue and white ormolu-mounted vase, the porcelain Kangxi, with later ormolou mounts
of baluster shape, painted with panels enclosing prunus and bamboo, leafy lotus amidst a lotus pond and tree peony, between borders of prunus demi-flowerheads reserved on a trellis ground and bands of trefoils and ruyi-head shaped lappets enclosing foliate lotus scrolls around the shoulders and above the foot, the shoulders surmounted by a tapering ormolu mount with a flared fluted rim, the base enclosed within a foliate frame supported on an indented square shaped plinth -- overall 21 13/16in.
