A singing bird in cage
the domed square cage enclosing large singing bird with natural top section beak, wooden bottom section and grey and turquoise plumage, perched on T bar, actuated from underside with going barrel movement, contained in gilt gesso base with applied floral decoration, circa 1910; and a small taxidermy bird in blue, green and orange plumage (later placed at bottom of the cage) -17in. (43cm) high, (small bar damage to cage)
