Lot Essay

The present photographs are part of a series of fifty entitled Metafore, taken by Ettore Sottsass between 1972 and 1978 while traveling through Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Besides the Disegni per i diritti dell'uomo and Fidanzati, the other themes were Disegni per i destini dell'uomo, Disegni per le necessita degli animali and Decorazioni.
