The serpentine hinged lid enclosing a removable fitted interior with compartments for ink-wells and pens around a blue leather-lined writing-slope enclosing furhter drawers and compartments, above three lidded wells, on a conforming stand with patera-headed square tapering legs, with brass caps and castors
