Lot Essay

Condition: 4C(ii)
Cosmetic: Normal use and wear.
Mechanical: Working but accuracy of shutter (usually at slow speeds) questionable.
Lenses: Clean and clear, minor handling marks.

The Nikon I was produced between November 1947 and August 1949. Rotoloni suggests that only around 400 examples of the Nikon I camera actually made it to market. The camera dates to June 1948 by which time fewer than sixty examples have been manufactured since November 1947.
