Engraved title and 46 full-page illustrations after Girolamo Porro (lacks all after Oo3, title from a smaller copy, C5, G1, H3, I4, L5. N5, R6, Z5 and Aa5 all inlaid, lower margins of quire Bb crudely repaired, tear in L4, some side-notes shaved, discolouration and staining). Contemporary sprinkled calf (rebacked, spine and corners worn, upper cover detached). Provenance: From the Library of John Jackson (1793-1875) of Academy Place, Warrington (bookplate). STC 748.
