ELZEVIR -- A collection of 11 Elzevir imprints, uniformly bound in late 18th-century crimson morocco, gilt ruled border on sides, fleur-de-lys corner pieces, spines with morocco lettering-pieces, decorated and lettered gilt in compartments, gilt edges (spines evenly sunfaded, some spines chipped, lightly rubbed). Provenance: Albert Natural (bookplate).
CICERO, Marcus Tullis (160-43 B.C.). [Opera. Cum potimis exemplaribus accurate collata]. Leiden: Elzevir, 1642. Volumes II-X only (lacking vol. I), 12° (122 x 67mm). Each title with woodcut printer's device, woodcut head- and tailpieces (vol. V & VIII without final blank, 2 small holes in title of vol. II, a few occasional spots). Willems 535: "très jolie et fort recherchée".
SENECA, Lucius Annaeus (c.3 B.C.-65 A.D.). Opera omnia. Leiden: Elzevir, 1640. 3 volumes, 12° (127 x 72mm). Engraved architectural general title in volume I, 2 engraved plates, woodcut printer's device on titles in volume II & III (a few spots). The first of three Elzevir editions, this is "la plus belle et la plus recherchée" (Willems 508).
JUSTINUS, Marcus Junianus. Historiarum ex trogo Pompeio lib. XLIV. Leiden: Elzevir, 1640. 12° (119 x 66mm). Engraved title by C.C. Duysent, woodcut headpieces and initials (a few leaves lightly browned). Willems 502, this is the other edition described by Willems.

Engraved title, 3 folding maps, 5 woodcut illustrations and one portait (small rust spot on G2 & G3 affecting 2 letters on G3 recto, margin of title lightly soiled, occasional very light marginal soiling, final page of text laid down).
