FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this interesting work on mining in the British Isles, undertaken at the behest of Prince Rupert, by the royalist Sir John Pettus who lost more than £20,000 in the King's cause during the civil war. He was also the author of several political works and translated Ereckens' mining treatise into English. Wing P1908.
