Armenian Liturgical Manuscript, [18th Century]
260 x 195mm. Illuminated manuscript on paper, 26 leaves, written in two columns of red and black ink in a regular bolorgir hand, nineteen portraits on a gold ground, the text with numerous small decorations in pink, red and blue of birds, flowers, some capital letters illuminated and gilded. Stamp on folio 25 (some staining and marginal wear throughout). 18th-century leather binding over pasteboard.

160 x 115mm. Illuminated manuscript on paper, 407ff, with 15 lines of black naskh, gold roundels between verses, text outlined in gold, illuminated marginal medallions, opening illuminated bifolium (areas of dampstaining throughout, opening bifolium lacking lower right corner). Provenance: purchased in Constantinople in 1929 (pencil note inside upper cover). Contemporary tooled brown morocco binding with flap. (2)
