2° (353 x 260mm). 73 hand-coloured plates by J. Dadley after J. Georgi. (Occasional light marginal soiling, light offsetting of image onto facing leaf). Publisher's red straight-grain morocco, covers panelled in blind and gilt, edges gilt, pale blue endpapers (joints starting at foot, light rubbing and soiling). Provenance: Stowe (shelf-ticket on front pastedown).

A fine suite of hand-coloured plates, based on the work of J.G. Georgi, in the publisher's original binding. Apparently from an issue not recorded by Abbey, with the watermark in the text dated 1796, and the watermark in the plates variously dated between 1796 and 1805.
