2 vols., 8° (250 x 165mm). Engraved portrait after O. Kiprenskii, frontispiece after A. Bryullov, both by S. Galaktionov. (Light spotting.) Original blue printed wrappers (lower cover of second volume stained). Custom made slip-cases. Provenance: 'printed in USSR (Russia)' (small stamp in bottom margin of front covers) -- Paul M. Fekula.

UNCUT IN THE ORIGINAL PRINTED WRAPPERS. Very rare with the original covers beautifully designed by Ivan Seleznev. This second edition of the works of this master of poetic Russian -- considered one of the best illustrated editions of the period (Fekula) -- contains all his works up to 1822.
