Atlas. Amsterdam [c.1680]. Text in Latin. 2° (522 x 305mm): Engraved allegorical title and 52 double-page engraved maps, all hand-coloured, with index of maps, mounted on guards throughout (some short tears at folds, the majority repaired, some light browning or marginal wear). Contemporary cat's paw calf, spine tooled in gilt (extremities worn, some loss to lettering piece). Provenance: 'ABV' monogram (stamped at lower outer corners of a few plates).

De Wit's handsome Atlas, containing the rare maps of the continents. This copy contains the additional map of Hungary, not listed in the index or in Koeman. Cf. Koeman III Wit 7.
