A fine map of Schleswig-Holstein by one of Denmark's foremost cartographers. This attractive map is one of the series he issued based on his famous survey of Denmark 1638-48 commissioned by Christian IV. This sheet includes attractive borders of town plans. Meyer's maps were later used for Danckwerth's Atlas in 1652 and by Blaeu in the Atlas Major. Meyer was a Mathematician and Geographer to the Danish Court.
