The circular dial with white enamel and black Roman numeral plaque design chapter ring engraved in the centre with twin figures of pan, to a white and red paste bezel, the gilt verge movement with pierced foliate engraved balance cock and triple arm balance wheel, the case reverse with swiss enamel panel depicting the draped figure of Venus with Eros below against a black ground with foliate canopy, the case possibly a later adaptation
