Tasting Note: Only one note, at Hardy Rodenstock's blind tasting of first growths: not as deep as expected. After it was revealed and plummy coloured; better flavour than nose. Medium-sweet, rather coarse fruit. My score: five points above the consensus which, in turn, was the third highest of the fairly consistent vintage notes. Last tasted March 2001. *** M.B.
