Tasting Note: Depth, richness of colour, intensity and palate, the degree and balance of component parts and length. However its virtues and beauty becomes more apparent as the wine matures. In 1990, it was opaque, intense, vividly purple; nose, crisp young fruit but unyielding; full, firm, fleshy, mouth-puckering tannic. A lovely wine, complete, with a very fragrant aftertaste. M.B.
