Flattened octagonal box, the centre of the cover enamelled en plein with a miniature with arched top depicting three young ladies at an urn containing a plant, painted on an oyster-pink semi-translucent ground on a sunburst guilloché motif, taille d'épargne gold foliage on a sky blue opaque enamel ground above, flanked by two vertical translucent blue enamelled guilloché shuttles, on a white enamelled and polished gold trelliswork, the sides and base with similar trelliswork and with sky blue enamelled vertical stripes, the four cut-corners enamelled in blue with foliage and berries en taille d'épargne within white enamel borders
