A GEORGE III SILVER-GILT TANKARD
LONDON, 1816, MAKER'S MARK WE, FOR WILLIAM EATON OR WILLIAM ELLIOTT
Tapering cylindrical and with a spreading base, decorated with bacchic putto at play, the hinged cover decorated with two putti and with an openwork finial, the scroll handle engraved with initials within a garter and below a crest, the foot engraved with an inscription, marked near handle and on cover rim

56 oz. (1,760 gr.)
The inscription reads: 'AVITO HONORE FLOREAS'

The crest is that of Herbert.
