MARK OF MARY AND RICHARD SIBLEY, LONDON, 1837
Shaped oval and on four scroll feet, with a gadrooned rim and two leaf and scroll handles, with a compartment for water, marked under rim, on side and on stopper, the base further stamped 'MAKEPEACE LONDON'

The arms are those of Scott impaling Duncombe for John Scott, 2nd Earl of Eldon (1805-1854) and his wife Louisa Duncombe, daughter of Charles, 1st Baron Feversham, who he married in 1831.
