Each with a domed circular gadrooned base and a tapering part fluted stem, the arms each terminating in a detachable spool shaped socket and with a detachable nozzle, engraved with a coat-of-arms below an earl's coronet, the nozzles and sockets engraved with a crest within a garter motto and below an earl's coronet, marked on foot, on nozzles, sockets and drip pans
24 in. (60.9 cm.) high
The arms are those of Scott impaling those of Surtees for John Scott, later 1st Earl of Eldon (1751-1838) and his wife Elizabeth daughter of Aubone Surtees of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. (2)
