The bowl enamelled overall on the interior and exterior with classical scenes including Venus and Cupid, on a similarly decorated base, the stem modelled as an enamelled mermaid, the detachable superstructure with two masks, each with three billowing sails, with rigging, and sailors in various pursuits, marked on mermaid, on rim, on base and on bezel of superstructure, also with French import marks
