MARK OF HEINRICH BEUST, BRUNSWICK, CIRCA 1615
The shell with plain rim applied with two snails and helmeted male figure and mask decorated straps, with finial formed as the figure of Venus Fortuna, on an oval base decorated with snails and foliage scrolls and with a female figure stem, marked on base, the base further struck twice with Austrian remarking stamp for post-1806, further engraved underneath 'W33 lot 19'

Collected in Germany before 1900 by a surgeon who later moved to England
Then by descent to the current owner
