The Doors/Jim Morrison
A hand-written poem in Jim Morrison's hand in black ballpoint pen circa 1970, the 39 lines on both sides of a sheet of lined paper titled The Fear beginning Eternal consciousness in the void (makes this ordeal seem almost friendly) a kiss in the storm (madman at the wheel gun at the neck space populous + arching cooly)... and ending sudden movements + your past To warm you in spiritless Night The lonely HWY Cold Hiker Afraid of wolves + his own shadow, 1p.

This poem appears under the same title in the posthumously published book Wilderness: The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison, Volume I, though in the published version there is a difference in punctuation and it is missing the verse: brief gold sparks behind a shining car the outlaw star.

See footnote to previous lot.
