Two unused and previously unseen colour proofs of artwork for the front and back covers of the Rolling Stones' 1981 album Tattoo You, one a colour photograph of Mick Jagger with tattoo art in red, green, yellow and blue -- 20x16in. (50.9x40.6cm.), the other a black and white photograph of Keith Richards with tattoo art, the tattoos hand-tinted with yellow, pink, blue and orange crayon, mounted on a blank album sleeve -- 12x12in. Released in August, 1981, Tattoo You was ranked number 211 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The cover design won Peter Corriston a Grammy for "Best Album Package".
