A collection of preliminary artwork for the cover of the Rolling Stones 1983 album Undercover, including: a preliminary mock-up of the front cover, the colour machine-print photograph on board, with cut-outs revealing the sticker artwork below and a celluloid overlay applied with geometric shapes in various colours -- 13¼x13¼in. (33.6x33.6cm.); two colour photographic proofs depicting alternative artwork, with a different female model and alternative sticker designs, both -- 8½x11in. (21.1x28cm.) framed; ten pieces of preliminary artwork for the stickers used on the front of the album depicting the band members, the artwork screen-printed on to different coloured and patterned papers, all -- 4x8in. (10.2x20.3cm.); a sheet of stickers showing alternative artwork to those used on the final album cover, including a snakeskin-patterned triangle, a Rolling Stones "tongue" logo, and a "tongue" logo on a television screen; and two album cover slicks, showing alternative sticker artwork to the released version, largest -- 13½x25¾in.
