The "Rodeo" desk was created for the artist duo's fourth monographic exhibition at galerie Neotu, exhibition all the more important as it was meant to inaugurate the opening of their New York gallery. Disposing of a total free hand, Garouste and Bonetti found inspiration in American culture and more specifically in its "Mission furniture" tradition, that seeks to reinvent XXth century decorative arts from materials particular to the country.

Two "Rodeo" desks are present in public collections: one in the Fonds National d'Art Contemporain (F.N.A.C.), Paris and the other in Lisbon's Design museum

Le bureau Rodéo est créé à l'occasion de la quatrième exposition personnelle des deux artistes à la galerie Neotu, exposition particulièrement importante puisqu'elle inaugure l'antenne new-yorkaise de la galerie. Disposant d'une totale carte blanche, Garouste et Bonetti s'inspirent de la culture américaine et plus particulièrement de sa tradition de Mission furniture, qui au début du XXème siècle cherche à réinventer l'art décoratif américain à partir de matériaux propres au pays.
Deux bureaux 'Rodéo' font partie de collections publiques : le FNAC (Fond National d'Art Contemporain), Paris et le musée du design de Lisbonne
