A LACQUERED LIBRARY PANELING SET BY JEAN DUNAND, CIRCA 1928-1929

The library was designed by Jean Dunand for a Parisian collector living in the 17th arrondissement. The design of the panels was influenced by the client himslef, when visiting Dunand's workshop became inspired by a large decorative screen. The panelling took one year to complete from 1928 to 1929. The Lot is sold together with photocopies of the letters exchanged between Jean Dunand and his client between August 1928 and January 1930

Jean Dunand conçoit cette bibliothèque pour l'appartement d'un parisien domicilé dans le 17ème arrondissement. Commandée en août 1928 à la suite d'une visite de ce dernier dans l'atelier de Jean Dunand, elle sera achevée et mise en place en novembre 1929. Son programme décoratif est inspiré d'un grand paravent admiré par le commanditaire et sa famille lors de cette visite.
Ce lot est vendu avec les photocopies des courriers et factures échangés entre Jean Dunand et son client d'août 1928 à janvier 1930
