St. Nicholas in the central panel, portrayed half-length, wearing the Bishop's stole and a pendant, blessing and carrying the Gospel, Prophet Elijah at the left, shown seated in front of the rocky cave in the wilderness while being fed by the raven and opposite, St. Marina represented in a contrapostal posture, trampling on the body of the devil, holding his horn and bearing an axe in her raised hand, painted with saturated colours and abundant gold, the names of the saints inscribed in Greek calligraphy in the background
