The plain hoop round in section, widening at the join to the oval bezel, set with a bevelled oval stone engraved with a god, perhaps Bacchus, depicted nude but for a cloak and a cap, holding a lagobolon in one hand, a kantharos in the other, an eagle at his feet, on a groundline
