A WHITE JADE 'DRAGON' VASE AND A COVER
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
The flattened baluster vase set with a pair of S-shaped handles and a fitted cover shaped as a lotus pod, well carved in high relief with a sinuous dragon clambering up one side to pounce on a 'flaming pearl' at the shoulder surrounded by wispy ruyi clouds, while a second dragon emerging from cresting waves watches on, the semi-translucent stone of an even white tone
