A RARE CARVED AND MOULDED LONGQUAN CELADON BALUSTER JAR
MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY
Strongly potted with broad rounded shoulders and a short waisted neck rising to an everted rim, the jar moulded with a bold lotus scroll, lightly combed on the background, between upright lappets encircling the base and a ruyi-cloud collar below the neck, all covered with an olive-green glaze
