A RARE PAIR OF CLOISONNE ENAMEL OCTAGONAL JARDINIERES
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each of square form with canted corners, inset on each of the eight facets with a gilt-bronze relief panel cast with a central shou character surrounded by bats amidst clouds, encircled by a colourful lotus meander on a bright turquoise ground, below the everted rim cast with key-fret and enamelled with further lotus scrolls, the underside with scattered prunus blossoms, all raised on eight bracket feet
