ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, 11 leaves (i.e. written or decorated on 19 pages, including colophon), plus 4 blank vellum leaves at front and 5 at rear, written in a semi-gothic script in black, with some initial letters or words in red. Frontispiece with full-page miniature of Rabbi Ben Ezra, initial-signed and dated by Sangorski, surrounded by a finely illuminated floral border in colors with burnished gold; first leaf with large illuminated initial G in colors against a burnished gold ground with full-border extensions similarly decorated; 2 pages with three-quarter borders incorporating decorated initials.

Bound in full blue morocco by Rivière and Son, covers with floral designs at the corners, spine in six compartments with five raised bands, gilt-lettered in two, a floral design in the remaining, turn-ins gilt, white watered-silk doublures and linings, edges gilt; straight-grained morocco folding case.

Colophon statement: "This manuscript 'Rabbi Ben Ezra,' by Robert Browning, was written out and illuminated by Albert Sangorski, and bound by hand by Messrs. R. Rivière and Son. London MCMXI. and will not be duplicated."
