Provenance
This piece was originally owned by Mr. Chang Decui (1900-1987). Also known as Jingzi, Chang was born in Hunan Province, People's Republic of China. He studied at the Nantong School of Agriculture, Jinling University, and the South-eastern University of Agriculture in PRC. In 1935, he enrolled in the Denmark Royal Academy of Agriculture. He was employed in Republic of China's National North-western School of Agriculture as a professor of Economics. In 1943, he started to head the National Central University's Agricultural Economics Department. Later employed as a professor at the Taiwan University's Agricultural Economics Department, Mr. Chang was the teacher of Former President of the Republic of China. Before his retirement in 1972, he was the director of the Agricultural Economics Research Facility of Taiwan.
