Octopussy [Maud Adams] is the glamorous owner of an exotic travelling circus based in India used as a cover for her international gem-smuggling business. She forms an alliance with James Bond [Roger Moore] when she realises her circus train is being used by the Russian General Orlov [Stephen Berkov] to carry a nuclear bomb to a U.S. military base.
