This phone is similar to that seen in the sequence where Q introduces James Bond to his new car, a BMW750, in an aircraft hanger at Hamburg airport. The car is operated using the mobile phone which Q presents to Bond ..."Your new telephone..., with "fingerprint scanner, 20,000 volt secruity system and a remote control for your car".

According to the accompanying letter from Ericsson, there were 12 prop phones made for this film, of which this is one. It is thought that only four were screen used.
