The case with florally cast frets around a decorative bell topped by a finial in the form of a knight, with bevelled side glasses overlaid on pierced and engraved trellis and floral urn panels, solid rear door, the silvered dial with raised Roman cartouche chapters and signed PLANCHON/PALAIS-ROYAL, blued steel hands, the eight day spring barrel movement with silvered lever platform, back plate and underside of case numbered 4844; with original gilt-tooled blue leather travel case, its interior silk signed PLANCHON/HORLOGER/66-67 Palais-Royal/PARIS
