The hood formerly with columns, the trunk door with oval lenticle and with reserves of bird and flower marquetry, conforming marquetry to the plinth, some green-stained, the 11 in. square brass dial with engraving at the quarter positions, cherub mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed Jo. Heckstetter London, with sword hilt half hour markers, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, triple crown engraving around the date aperture, ringed winding holes and blued steel hands, the eight day movement with four ringed pillars, anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell; two brass weights, pendulum, crank key, door key
